At Cedar Valley Bassets, every puppy is raised as family, not in kennels, but in our home, surrounded by laughter, soft blankets, and the everyday sounds of life. From their first wobbly steps to the day they join your family, they’re nurtured with care, patience, and affection.
We don’t just breed Basset Hounds — we raise companions, storytellers, and heart-healers. Each puppy carries a piece of our heart and the peaceful spirit of our valley. When one of our Bassets finds their forever home, it’s never goodbye. it’s the beginning of a lifelong friendship, built on trust, love, and wagging tails.
The first thing, and most important thing, to know about our family is that we are Christians. Proverbs 12:10 states, “A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal.” Our objective is to have happy and healthy dogs, and the result will be happy customers.
We sincerely try to always abide by the golden rule (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you) in our dealings with other people, which certainly includes our family breeding operation. Doing what is right, and making sure the adopter is pleased with their overall experience is of utmost important to us.
A little bit about us . . .
ALICE my lovely wife, is a full-time mom, and stays very busy raising the 3 boys: Bennett , Hudson , Tucker , and our girl Ace . She also assist tending to the dogs and puppies. The boys love “helping” with the daily dog chores.
We started raising basset hounds in 2013, simply because we love the breed and knew they would be great with our kids. It has been a match made in heaven for us.
